Swiss Design is amazing concept by using grids and structure. it very charming to look at it, I love looking at Swiss design because it always feels like the design is bold and delicious, so perfect that every element is in the best possible place in order to communicate the message. it feel bold and delicious. the use of system, grids, and font families also allows designers break a rule and maintaining a confident and stable feel. it really amazing that Swiss Design had a great influence on industry, doesn't matters what kind of form, you can always apply Swiss design ides to communicate differently.
Swiss Designer such as Joesph Muller Brockman, Adrian Frutiger, Armon Hoffman, Saul Bass, they are the pioneer of Swissy, their work change the new generation of designer or artist.

I kind like the era of Constructivism and Suprematism, I am really digging the two form of design style, I like just a square be a simple beautiful form of art. the poster "Soaring to Success Daily Heralb" is a good example, I see myself doing this kind form of art in the feature as a motion designer. there are artist that I look up to like Charley Harper who has similar style, which it's call minimal realism, they said it captured the essence of the subject with the fewest possible visual element, and i agree. I believe it contrasted the nature-oriented artwork with drawing influence from Cubism, Minimalism, Einsteinian physics and other developments in modern art and science.

at the every beginning of the class we see the London Calling album cover of the punk band, the clash made in 1979. the cover was used for one of the Elvis Presley's ablum back in 1956. and then we see more modern poster, their style are all connected in a way.
soon we jump into talking about the caveman who can't express themselves so they put images on the walls, it evolved into the cuneiform, that's the earliest form of writing, later it transform into printmaking.
and here it comes the fact for print 1. middle class like to buy things. 2. student expanding with them have class, increase literature into demand, 3. people want books, it shape people who has less knowledge into reading.
Definition of words

Fleurons- Typographic decorative elements.
Incunabula - The first 50 years of printmaking.
Vellum- Sheepskin
Death books- the art of dying. They also were used for church propaganda.
Here is the a piece of motion animation talk about history of design and type.

History of Graphic and Motion Design
Motion graphics are generally short pieces of time-based visual media which combine the languages of film and graphic design. This can be accomplished by incorporating a number of different elements such as 2d and 3d animation, video, film, typography, illustration, photography, and music. Common applications of motion graphics are film title sequences, animated logos at the end of commercials, lower-third elements, etc.
Broadcast graphics are motion graphics has a strong presence in television. Commercial graphics, entertainment, and show packaging graphics are just a few of the venues in which motion design is found.
Distinguishing motion graphics from other disciplines
Film. Although feature films may contain motion graphics (for example, Shynola's work in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" or MK12's work in" Stranger than Fiction"), very few (if any) are actually considered motion graphics pieces in themselves.
Visual Effects. Visual Effects are primarily concerned with creating special effects that look realistic, while motion graphics server a purpose more ambiguous - one more akin to graphic design.
Character Animation. Both traditional 2d and 3d character animation can be used within motion graphics, but usually aren't motion graphics in themselves. Significant use of graphic design principles or stylization can blur the lines between traditional animation and motion graphics.
The history of motion graphics
Like graphic design, it's hard to pinpoint the exact start of the motion graphics as a discipline. In the early 20th century people such as Viking Eggeling, Oskar Fischinger, Len Lye were experimenting with films that resemble motion graphics. Saul Bass' film title sequences in the 50's and 60's took it a step further and into the public eye. In the late 70's and 80's people such as Harry Marks and Robert Abel helped bring dynamic computer-generated graphics to broadcast television.
It's unclear when the term "motion graphics" was first used. In 1960, John Whitney started a company called Motion Graphics Inc. and frequently used the term in his work. The term rose to prominence in the early 1990's, alongside the advent of the affordable desktop computer.
Locations for motion graphics
In the United States, Los Angeles and New York City are the major motion graphics hubs. Internationally, London, Toronto, Paris, Buenos Aires, and Sydney have the most amount of work.
